History of PM Expert Company

PM Expert has been operating in the Russian project management market since 2002 (being part of IT Expert till February 2005).

The idea to allocate PM Expert as a separate business appeared due to the growing demand in Russia for new management areas necessary for effective project management in various industries. The issues of successful project implementation are becoming ever more urgent for companies’ leadership teams that are interested in resolving their organizations’ strategic objectives through launching critical projects.

Currently, PM Expert continues to actively develop project management and remains one of the initiators of expanding this area in Russia.

Major stages in PM Expert development

December 2011	PM Expert and Expert Systems have launched a partnership program “Expert’s Card”. PM Expert awarded a certificate to the 40,000th participant of project management courses.
October 2011	A partnership agreement was signed with Center of Financial Technologies for realization of joint project management trainings in banks and large corporations.
August 2011	There Are 500 Specialists in Russia Currently Certified as PME®. PM Expert has entered into a partnership agreement with Scrumtrek Company and presented a course of the Scrum methodology application in project management. PM Expert has launched new certifications in projects management - PMEA © (Project Management Expert Administrator) and PRIME © (Program & Portfolio Management Expert).
April 2011	PM Expert Begins to Certify Corporate Project Management Systems in Companies and Organizations. PM Expert Develops a Program for Testing Project Management Knowledge – PM Test©.
March 2011	PM Expert Enters the Construction Project Management Market.
January 2011	PM Expert Develops the Second Level of Certification for Project Management Specialists – PMEP© (Project Management Expert Practitioner).
December 2010	PM Expert had its quality management system certified successfully and received confirmation of the system’s compliance with the international ISO 9001-2008 standard.
September 2010	PM Expert is recognized as the Company of the Year at the exhibition Trainings Expo 2010 (Moscow, Russia).
July 2010	PM Expert carried out its first exclusive master class in London focusing on program management and using preparation for the 2012 Olympics as an example.
August 2009	PM Expert awarded a certificate to the 25,000th participant of project management courses.
June 2009	PM Expert received a license from the Federal Security Service of Russia, which allows it to operate using the information that constitutes the state secret.
May 2009	The first editions of Russian national project management standards were finally developed with participation of PM Expert; their texts were transferred for consideration to the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology.
March 2009	PM Expert acted as the General Sponsor of the “Project Management in Central Asia” international forum in the city of Almaty (Kazakhstan).
February 2009	PM Expert and the Russian Academy of Public Service under the President of the Russian Federation (RAPS) signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of training, including the development and sale of educational products related to project management.
December 2008	PM Expert had its quality management system certified successfully and received confirmation of the system’s compliance with the international ISO 9001-2000 standard.
November 2008	PM Expert was granted with the Leader of the Russian Economy National Award for its outstanding achievements in project management within the Contest carried out as part of the Global Project “New Quality of Growth to Russia” that is being implemented with the support of the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly. PM Expert started to establish its own multi-level certification system in the field of project management. The first certification level is Project Management Expert (PME®).
August 2008	PM Expert’s managing partners were included by the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology (former Gosstandart of the USSR) into the Russian national delegation participating in the work of Technical Committee No. 236 involved in the development of the international project management standard ISO 21500 (TC 236 Project Committee: Project Management).
May – June 2008	In 2007, PM Expert’s project management outsourcing department experienced a 4-fold increase. PM Expert started to render project management professional services in the Kazakhstan market: its subsidiary PMExpert–Kazakhstan was opened in the city of Almaty.
April 2008	The company agreed on strategic partnership with Istria Risk Management Solutions (UK) specializing in professional services and IT solutions in risk management.
January 2008	PM Expert’s managing partner A. Kutuzov was included into the Review Expert Board of MBA program “Project Management in the Field of High Technology, Investment, and Computer Science” offered by the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT).
December 2007	PM Expert won the tender carried out by the Federal Grid Company (FGC UES) to outsource managing the program for establishing an automated system for commercial accounting for electric power in the unified national energy grid (ASCAEP in UNEG).
November 2007	PM Expert’s managing partners Alexander Kutuzov, PMP, and Alexander Pavlov, Ph.D., PMP, presented their reports on project management to the participants of RBC’s 16th International Business Conference in Tokyo.
June 2007	PM Expert was integrated into OAO “Armada.” PM Expert acted as a General Sponsor of the 2nd International Conference of PMI® St. Petersburg Chapter “Project Management Magic: Sorcery, Art, Skill…”
March 2007	PM Expert launched a unique project “World Project Management Stars – in Russia.”
December 2006	As of the end of 2006, PM Expert implemented more than 25 large-scale projects, including 15 projects completed on an outsourcing basis (managed by PM Expert’s specialists) for Toyota Motor, a project for establishing project management methodology in SITRONICS Telecom Solutions, etc.
November 2006	PM Expert acted as a platinum sponsor of the 3rd International Conference of PMI® Moscow Chapter “Integration Management.” .
October 2006	New simulation business games were introduced to the Russian PM training market based on partnership agreements with two major European training companies GamingWorks (Netherlands) and Celemi (Sweden).
September 2006	PM Expert received a status of an exclusive partner of Planview, one of the world leading developers of project portfolio management systems.
August 2005	A status of PMI® Global Registered Education Provider (PMI® Global R.E.P.) was received enabling to provide project management workshops, trainings, and educational programs on an international scale.
March 2005	A partnership agreement was signed with PM Solutions (USA) for the provision of joint services in the field of project management. A new brand, PM Expert, was officially introduced to the Russian market.
May – June 2002	The first open project management courses were delivered. A status of PMI® Registered Education Provider (PMI® R.E.P.) was received (for the first time among Russian companies).
